Medicaid Texas Application
Texas Medicaid is a very important program for many people in Texas. But there seems to be a slight problem with how to apply for Medicaid programs, the problem being that the programs are very complicated for the public for some reason it seems that the state of Texas does not make these programs easy to apply for or provide much information for the public it seems that they would rather keep these programs as a secret maybe that means less applicants less ,applicants means less spending for the state. I have over 15 years experience with different Medicaid programs with this site I hope to make the public understand how and where to apply for these programs. Also how to maximize the benefits that they receive. This will be done through my different blogs and video tutorials that I have set up. Medicaid Texas application applicants should not fear or be confused on where and how to apply. There is also a lot of bad information out there regarding assets of potential recipients. I will clear that up for the general public using their minds and getting them to apply.
Who Is Covered in Texas
Medicaid clients include individuals who are eligible for full coverage of acute
care services, prescription drugs, and long-term services and supports,
depending on need. Medicaid clients also include individuals eligible for timelimited
or specific services, such as emergency services or women’s health
services only. The three primary categories of Medicaid clients eligible for full
benefits are:
• Families and children – Based on income level, depending on age or
pregnancy;
• Cash assistance recipients – Based on receipt of Temporary Assistance for
Needy Families (TANF) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI); and
• Aged and disabled – Based on income level, age, and physical or mental
disability.
Medicaid clients eligible for limited benefits include:
• Medicare Beneficiaries – Based on income level and age, certain Medicare
beneficiaries qualify for partial Medicaid benefits;
• Non-Citizens – Legal permanent residents and undocumented persons who
are not eligible for Medicaid based on citizenship status may receive
emergency services; and
• Women – Based on income level and age, women who do not qualify for full
Medicaid benefits may receive women’s health services through Medicaid.
Federal law requires that all state Medicaid programs pay for certain services to Medicaid
clients, including:
• Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT or Texas Health Steps);
A program of regular medical and dental checkups for persons under age 21 which
includes treatment of any conditions identified as medically necessary;
• Family planning/genetics;
• Home health care;
• Inpatient and outpatient hospital;
• Lab and X-ray;
• Nursing facility care;
• Pregnancy-related services; and
• Physician services.
